Yes, those pushings will be available from Antti's shop. His caster blocks sold out quite fast.
There will be some other nice stuff for 944 models; we are brainstorming all the time :)

Helped friends to to put into parts this wrecked 951 imported from Belgium. At first we planned to take black interior from it to Lauri's project but unfortunately condition of this interior did not pass our quality standards :(

Antti plans to build some kind of racer off it; let's see how it turns out.

took some bad quality phone pictures of some more winter activities

Waiting for some clutch work (finished that job about week ago)

More or less in pieces

Antti draw some new parts for me, including this (not ready yet)....

As a side project i promise to change seals to clutch master & slave cylinders for another friends Zermatt Silber 951. Harsh winter we have had has done some nasty things for those old seals. First we had to get some space for Zermatt 951, so my friend fabricated suitable stand which allows move empty body easily.

Finally got some new parts for front control arms (made by Antti)

We manage to find complete 968 door panels with speakers and also rear side panels as well. Let's see how rear panels fit because the different shape rear side window.
Project car's original panels were fixed but still not the quality level we wanted.

Had a design session with Antti yesterday. We would like to have a powersteering reservoir which does not leak like oem system does. Found this design from M5-forum. It's nice, but does not eliminate the major problem. We plan to use AN-style fittings which are superior compared to oem design. We toyed with an idea to produce similar style bow and oil catch tank made also form billet with AN-fittings.

Tank from M5-forum:

Bow we have uses already a little bit same design than that PS-reservoir

It's almost there :) My eldest son Lauri making some final installations

Antti tig welding some parts to modified 997 GT2 intake for 996 Turbo engine

Special tool for 951 rear hubs. 500nm is quite nice torque when you have to un-bolt the nuts

While i was putting Jaybird Hockey tape on some wires, son painted his burgundy dash and some other parts to black.

First he washed the parts and used some silicon remove stuff

Then fresh black paint

Painted parts looks in live like factory new :)

Next items to be painted are 968 door panels, which are now blue ;)

Junior did some painting. Also this area was damaged by the engine fire. Area was easy to repair after the damaged windshield was removed. Now there is a nice coat of satin black paint. Son also repaired wiring loom section which goes to heater blower and windshield wiper's motor. Now we are ready to install heater/AC unit and 968 dashboard :)

Got few parts from powdercoating

Got a wiper mechanism from a friend.Original one was sold because 951 was already doomed to be a parts car by a previous owner. Mechanism was overhauled and ball joints were lubricated well.

How did you remove it? Is it hard?

Did you rubb it before paint? If yes, with what?

No need to rub it. Just use some silicone remover first. We are not going to use this dashboard even it does look like new. We got a complete dark blue 968 interior which will replace the original burgundy interior.
Dashboard was already removed from this 951 when we got it.

Image
Image

Usually it takes less than hour to remove it, there is 6-8 bolts/screws holding it, depending is car equipped with airbags or not. Air bag models have two extra screws installed on both ends of the dashboard.

Test fitting the new bushings

Some progress

Also window regulators/motors got some attention

Image
Image
Image

Like guide rails as well, which were re-yellowpassived ;)

Image

As a "side project" changed belts to a 951 & 944. Quite hot work to do when it was about 30 celsius and even more in the direct sun light :)

Image

My 968 turbo splitter mould is also ready. Just finished a splitter for a friend. Notice a old barbecue grill frame, which is very handy when you do some fibreglass work :)
