Does the side blinkers located on front fenders have a dedicated(pressing) place or is there just a holes drilled to fender? Euro model fender had a similar system like Audi 80 had which VW did not have on Golf II (same blinker on all of these cars). My US spec car have just holes drilled when blinkers were installed. Those were (are) mandatory at lest in Sweden & Finland during he time our cars were new.

If I remember it right it was just drilled holes with a socket and bolb sticking out. The blinkers had double-sided tape to stick on the fender.
